The Real Madrid forward was the winner in the vote organized by Lance.net among Brazilian journalists, coaches and players.
Lance.net, one of the most prestigious sporting publications in South America, organized the vote among Brazilian footballers, coaches and journalists to choose the best player in the world. 58 people voted and, using the same system as in the Ballon d’Or award, the winner was Cristiano Ronaldo with 179 points ahead of Messi (156) and Ribery (89).
Among the footballers who voted were Felipe Santana (Schalke 04), Alves (Barcelona), Fred (Fluminense), Alisson (Santos) and Henrique (Palmeiras).
